After three years of absence, the family of Mercedes-Benz G-Class vehicles welcomes back its most practical model – PROFESSIONAL. Robust construction and wisely selected equipment makes it a perfect choice not only for daily trips, but also for hobbies and economic activity.

G-Class vehicles were initially created for military needs. They were made available as civilian vehicles in 1979. As a result of constant development and new improvements, G-Class vehicles have become legendary.

The unique character of this model is a subject of extensive interest worldwide. The range of Mercedes-Benz G-Class engines is therefore rather extensive - from a practical diesel engine to a super powered Mercedes-AMG V12 engine.

The technical data of the new G 350 D PROFESSIONAL are just the same as for the off-road vehicles, extending the possibilities during the off-road driving or during expeditions. But just like with the Mercedes-Benz vehicles, their functional interior for practical use and excellent driving comfort has been preserved.

More powerful, economical and environment-friendly

The diesel engine installed in G 350 D PROFESSIONAL is able to reach 245 HP and is 33% more powerful than its predecessor. Average petrol consumption at the same time has been reduced by 15.4% and is now 9.9 per 100 km, while CO2 emissions– 261 g/km. The vehicle conforms to the emission standard EU6.

The maximum driving speed of the PROFESSIONAL model is 160 km, but acceleration to 100 km will take only 8.8 seconds.

Carry capacity of the vehicle is 592 kg, and it is able to pull a trailer of 3,200 kg.

Especially powerful in complicated condition

A solid frame and permanent all-wheel drive with the possibility to block all three differentials serves as a basis for the construction of the new model. G 350 D PROFESSIONAL model is already initially equipped with the 7G-TRONIC automatic gearbox.

Owing to the rebuilt suspension, clearance of the PROFESSIONAL version is 245 mm (10 mm more than for the base version), while the angle of driving up and down is 36 and 39 degrees accordingly (compared to 30/30 in the base version).

Especially durable or "Allroad" tyres with a size of 265/70 R16 ensure excellent road adherence even in complicated off-road conditions. The depth of water allowed is 0.6 m.

With robust interior design

A model of the previous generation was based on the practical W461 series, while the new PROFESSIONAL model has already been created using the W463 series which ensures higher class ergonomics, by supplementing it with modern equipment. For example, the standard comfort equipment now includes: multi-functional type of steering wheel, electrically adjustable steering column and partially electrically adjustable front seats.

A need for the interior to be practical has also been taken into account - the floor is processed by an easy-to-wash coating, a water drainage system is in place, while the seats have a fabric finish.

Clients planning to make extensive use of the vehicle can enjoy some original Mercedes-Benz accessories, for example, a steel front protective rod (ready for installation of a pulling mechanism or winch); protective bull bars for the front headlamps and indictors, thresholds, baggage compartment floor made of wood, as well as an expedition roof baggage rack.

G 350 d PROFESSIONAL models were released in July of this year, while the new model will become available at the Mercedes-Benz dealerships in September.
